Devonte “Vonte” Terrell Williamson, 24 – A Young Man Full of Life and Loyalty
Devonte Williamson, 24, known to friends as “Vonte,” lost his life in the horrific drive-by shooting that unfolded outside a mixtape release party in River North.
A native of Chicago, Vonte was the kind of friend you could always count on. He was present that night to support his close friend, rapper Mello Buckzz, who is now mourning the loss of not only her boyfriend, but three of her closest friends.
Vonte was full of life, energy, and dreams. He wanted to make something of himself, and he carried an unshakable loyalty to those he loved.
His life was cut short too soon, leaving behind grieving family and friends who remember him as someone who would give you the shirt off his back.
The Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed his passing alongside three others that night—each a bright soul, lost to an act of devastating violence.
